Going Vintage

While out camping and shooting pictures of the milky way with Cape Hatteras Lighthouse I was asked to share a photo. Well without my actual desktop and editing software you can't really do the edits required for milky way shots. All I had was my phone and its very limited editing capabilities. After transferring a few picture from my camera to my phone, I did a few edits...as expected I couldn't really get a good milky way photo. So I tried something I don't see a lot of online. I tried making them black & white. Well I think they were quite nice. I guess most people like to try and show the colors of the milky way and night sky, and that is why you don't see a lot of black and white milky way photos.

I decided to use the "vintage" filter on the shots. It isn't really black and white, but is close and gives what I feel is a very nice look to the photos. Check them out...
